Coverage, honestly

The WifiBox runs on Turkey's mobile network, not your hotel's router — so coverage follows you around. Here's the area-by-area picture, including the places where signal varies. We live here; this is the real report.

Area by area

Based on where our boxes are used every day of the season.

AreaSignalWhat to expect
Marmaris centre & seafront Excellent Full-speed data everywhere — streaming, video calls, uploads, all of it.
Icmeler Excellent Strong signal across the resort, the beach and the marina end.
Armutalan Excellent Full coverage throughout — hotels, the bazaar area and the waterpark.
Beldibi & Siteler Excellent Same strong signal as the town centre, right along the hotel strip.
Hisaronu & Orhaniye Good Solid in the villages and along the bay; short dips possible on the quietest stretches of the peninsula.
Turunc Good Strong in the village and on the beach; can dip briefly on the highest hillside roads.
Boat trip bays Good Connected for the vast majority of the route — details below.
Marmaris–Dalaman road Good Signal for nearly the whole transfer; a couple of short mountain stretches may dip.
Remote coves & open sea Varies The furthest coves and open water can drop signal for short spells. It comes back as you near the coast.

If your hotel or villa isn't in one of these areas, message us on WhatsApp — we'll tell you honestly what to expect before you book.

What can you actually do on it?

Speeds are real-world 4.5G on the Standard and up to 5G on the Pro — here's what that means for the things you'll actually use.

Online gamingWorksFine for most games; competitive players may notice some lag — it's mobile internet, and we'd rather say so.

Will it work on the boat trip?

The most-asked question we get — so it earns its own section.

Yes. The daily boat trips loop around the bays close to the coast, and the mobile network covers almost all of the route. You'll be posting from the deck, video-calling from swim stops and checking the football scores between coves. In the most remote coves and briefly on open water, signal can drop for a few minutes — it comes back as the boat nears the coast. Over a full day out, expect to be connected for the vast majority of it.

One honest exception: the Rhodes day trip

The WifiBox works on the Turkish mobile network. If you take the day trip to Rhodes, the box will not work in Greece — leave it charging in your room and it'll be ready when you're back. We'd rather tell you now than have you find out on the ferry.

Day trips? Take it with you.

Coverage is nationwide in Turkey, so the box keeps working on day trips to Dalyan, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Fethiye and beyond. Wherever the coach goes, your internet goes too.
